ISE Core Awareness Training - Helpful Hints
ISE Core Awareness Training - Helpful Hints

This course is designed with several features that make it more accessible to everyone. This section is designed to present some helpful hints for people who wish to take advantage of the accessibility features.

This course primarily uses the TAB and SHIFT+TAB for navigation between items. Some items must be selected by this method for you to activate them using the keyboard. Pressing the TAB key moves you forward through the active choices on the screen. Pressing SHIFT+TAB moves you backwards through the choices. Once an item is selected, a dotted-line box will appear around the current selection. Press ENTER to activate the selected item.

Some elements in this course have assigned a hot-key combination to make it easier for you to complete common tasks.

This frame is used to allow dynamic text resizing while viewing the course and has no other significant value. The second frame is the main content frame. Press the M key to move between frames using JAWS ® .

The top navigation bar provides access to all the modules contained in the course.

This course is designed to auto launch from the disc as a HTML Application (HTA). JAWS® users should close the HTA and open the HTML version in order to take full advantage of the browser features provided by JAWS®. There are two ways to do this:

Users of the HTML version may have to enable Internet Explorer to run active content from the CD. You can enable this setting permanently by contacting your System Administrator or performing the following steps:

  1.  Open Internet Explorer's Tools menu and select Internet Options.

  2.  Click the Advanced tab.

  3.  Click the check box labeled, "Allow active content from CDs to run on My Computer."

You may also choose to enable this each time you use the course by allowing blocked content through Internet Explorer's Information Bar.

Some machines will repeatedly prompt users with the dialog box "Active content can harm your computer or disclose personal information. Are you sure that you want to allow CD's to run active content on your computer?" If you see this dialog box, UNSELECT the check box "In the future, do not show this message" and click Yes.
