Analysts at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have augmented their manpower to examine information gathered from the raid on the compound of Osama bin Laden one month ago, the chief intelligence officer at the Department of Homeland Security told a House panel Wednesday.

The DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) continues to examine that information and disseminate information to state and local agencies that could act on any of the intelligence within it, said Caryn Wagner, DHS undersecretary of intelligence and analysis.

Los Angeles—Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano today joined AEG President and CEO Timothy J. Leiweke at the company's STAPLES Center to announce the expansion of the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) "If You See Something, Say Something™" public awareness campaign to stadiums, arenas, theatres, clubs, convention centers and other venues owned by or affiliated with AEG Facilities—a division of Los Angeles-based AEG—in an effort to help ensure safety and security of the American public.

Earlier this year, two private-sector employees did exactly what the Homeland Security Department intended when the department launched its "See Something, Say Something" public safety campaign to encourage people to report suspicious activity.

One employee, who worked for Con-way Freight in Ann Arbor, Mich., noticed that a package of chemicals was en route to a Saudi college student in Lubbock, Texas, and called the local police. The second tipster, who notified the FBI, worked for the chemical manufacturer itself in Burlington, N.C.
