Information Sharing at CSIS Next Week: Adapting and Improving an Expanded ISE

We’re very excited about next week’s CSIS event, Information Sharing: Adapting and Improving an Expanded ISE, on January 26th from 9:00 am – 3:45 pm. I look forward to seeing Director of National Intelligence Clapper, who will be keynoting and sharing his deep knowledge of information integration. I will also participate in a panel discussion about information sharing and the future of the ISE with Tim Doran of the National Security Staff and David Shedd from the Defense Intelligence Agency.

In the years since the ISE was established by the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004, the government has greatly improved and expanded our information sharing infrastructure. We have come a long way in improving methods to share information. At the same time, we still face some major challenges that need to be addressed and overcome as the ISE grows and expands. We are on the cusp of the next generation of responsible information sharing. Throughout the day, we’ll explore the evolution of the ISE and how we are positioned for the future.

I look forward to discussing the challenges we face and speaking about what the future holds for the ISE and our mission partners, including the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Department of Defense, Department of Justice, and others.

Please join me next Thursday at CSIS and remember to check back to this blog next week for more details and a discussion about the event.

More information about the event can be found here. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to HS-CT@CSIS.org.
