AFCEA Bethesda Breakfast Panel about Information Sharing
Posted by Kshemendra Paul on Thursday, March 17, 2011Yesterday, I spoke at the AFCEA Bethesda Monthly Breakfast series and then moderated a panel about information sharing. The panel included:
- David Burns, Deputy IC Information Sharing Executive, Office of the Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Policy and Strategy;
- Steven Cooper, Executive Director, Law Enforcement Information Sharing Initiative (LEISI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security;
- John Teeter, Deputy Chief Information Officer, Department of Health and Human Services; and
- Jeremy Warren, Chief Technology Officer, Department of Justice.
It was a great opportunity to speak with colleagues in government and industry about addressing core information sharing challenges, like establishing a roadmap, assessing progress, and looking forward.
To fulfill a few promises I made at the event:
- The slides from my presentation are available here.
- An audience member made an interesting and valid call for in-depth discussions of the challenges we all face. This website was designed to be the forum for such discussions. Please visit our discussion board to share, discuss, and vote on ideas and questions.
- Finally, please check back to ise.gov in the near future for more information about how the Information Sharing Environment is engaging with our Industry Partners.
